The WWRF Fellows Scheme was established to recognize and honour outstanding individuals for their significant accomplishments in the advancement or application of mobile and wireless technology and application and for their contributions to the mission of the WWRF: To advance mobile and wireless research and innovation and promote the mobile and wireless community worldwide. WWRF looks to the Fellows for guidance as the world of mobile and wireless technology continues to evolve. Further details of the nomination and appointment process here
Chennai 2007 Dr Martin Cooper CV		WWRF has the pleasure to appoint Mr Martin Cooper as a fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the Wireless World. In particular Mr Cooper is widely recognised as the inventor of the truly portable mobile phone, from which our wireless world has developed.
Chennai 2007 Dr João da Silva CV		WWRF has the pleasure to appoint Dr João da Silva as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. In particular Dr da Silva has contributed to the growth and success of collaborative research in Europe over many years.
Chennai 2007 Prof Ashok Jhunjhunwala CV		WWRF has the pleasure to appoint Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala as a fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the Wireless World. In particular Professor Jhunjhunwala has made a very valuable personal contribution to the growth of the wireless and mobile sector in India.
Stockholm 2008 Mr Håkan Eriksson CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Mr Håkan Eriksson as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. He has a strong association with the founding of WWRF. When the time was ripe, he recognised it and took the initiative to call for the first meeting.
Stockholm 2008 Dr Young Kyun Kim CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Dr Young Kyun Kim as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the Wireless World. In particular Dr Kim has made a very valuable personal contribution to the development of global standards for mobile communications.
Paris 2009 Prof Hamid Aghvami CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Professor Hamid Aghvami as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. In addition to his research as Director of the Centre for Telecommunications Research at Kings College London, he has founded a number of important conferences to bring the wireless research community together.
Paris 2009 Prof Mérouane Debbah CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Professor Mérouane Debbah as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the Wireless World. As the Alcatel-Lucent Professor of Flexible Radio at Supélec in Paris, he has made significant advances in the theory and application of wireless communications.
Beijing 2009 Madame Li Mofang CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Madame Li Mofang as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of her personal contribution to the wireless world. She played a key role in the establishment of interna-tional standards for both analogue and digital mobile communications, and in the development of mobile networks in China.
Penang 2010 Professor Michael Walker CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Professor Michael Walker as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. He has played a key role in the establishment of standards for secure digital mobile communications, and has bridged the commercial and academic worlds.
Penang 2010 Dr Kohei Satoh CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Dr Kohei Satoh as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. From a background in radio propagation for mobile and satellite systems, he has played a critical role in achieving international agreement on mobile communication standards.
Penang 2010 Prof Dr Sureswaran Ramadass CV		WWRF has great pleasure in appointing Professor Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass as a Fellow of the Wireless World Research Forum, in recognition of his personal contribution to the wireless world. He has an international reputation through his work in industry and academia, pioneering the commercialization of university research in Malaysia.
